Hi hi. June school holidays are almost over. Would miss the times spent with my kids. After our Church Camp cum holiday at Kuala Lumpur, almost everyday is crafting time with my kids. We spent the days rainbow looming, painting, clay making, playing board games and so on. My resolution this year for holidays is to be able to craft and spend time with my kids, along w at least one subject revision. Thus far, I think I'm doing good.
And I managed to spend the evening/night time crafting on my own. Here's one project I done and I used the sketch from Once Upon A Sketch blog and entered the challenge this month.
"Our Little Boy" Layout
Made this layout, documenting the time when my boy is just one year plus of age. Love his smile!!
I spread randomly across page with gesso. For the top part (where the forest are), I misted a stencil with Prima Bloom spray. Then with palette knife, I spread acrylic paints randomly at the bottom, added gauze, joint tape, more paints and spread texture paste over a stencil again.
I have always wanted to do more clean look kind of mixed media layout, along with cute elements for my kids. So glad that I managed to pull it together.
I inked the chipboard and painted abit with Shimmerz Paints TextureZ Patina.
I used Simple Stories stickers and chipboard stickers for the cute elements. Love the boat and how it seems to be floating on the "waters".
For the challenge at Once Upon A Sketch, I need to include journalling. I had this sentence out here and more hidden journalling in a tag behind the photo.
I hope you enjoy my project. Hope you be inspired.
Thanks for visiting my blog. Have a fun week.
