Recycled Theme Project

Hi, everyone. This month at Off The Rails Scrapbooking, we are having a recycle moodboard challenge. Use something you recycled in your project. Love the moodboard colors.

And I made a mixed media canvas, recycling an old spoilt watch, 2 strips of leftover wood from a previous dollhouse project and 3 brushes.

"Grow"

I created the background texture  by spreading texture paste over a stencil, stamped some words stamps randomly across page.

I covered the wood strips, chipboard frames, clock, brushes and watch with a coat of watered down gesso. Then misted over them with teal and bronze sprays. And adhered the flowers, wood veneers and added tiny crystal flats over the page.

I hope you enjoy my sharing. Do join us for this month's challenge. Hop on over to Off The Rails Scrapbooking to see what my team members created as well. Have fun.

OTRS Aug Moodboard Challenge

Hi, everyone. This month at Off The Rails Scrapbooking, we are having a Tribal moodboard challenge. You can use the colors, theme and images as inspirations for your project.

Here's what I created:

"Remember When"

"Remember When" Mixed Media Canvas

When I thought of Tribal, hathernware came to my mind. So I created the background of the canvas into hathernware design using texture paste and Prima rust paste and acrylic paint.

"Remember When" Mixed Media Canvas

Painted the chipboards with acrylic paints.

This will be my last assignment for Off The Rails Scrapbooking this year as I'm taking a half year break. Will be back next year though. Been so busy lately this year as its an important year for my girl in her education. I have to spend more time with her. I will still be crafting on my own but its less of doing it to meet deadline etc...

I will try my best to share about my leisure crafts here during this break but no gurantee... :P

Thanks for dropping by. Do join us for the June Moodboard Challenge over at Off The Rails Scrapbooking. Have fun.

"Recycled" - Off The Rails Scrapbooking

Hi, everyone. It's been a while since I blog.. this month over at Off The Rails Scrapbooking we are having recyling moodboard challenge.

And we have 2 sponsors this month:

Here's what I have made:

"Reflections" Mixed Media Canvas

Adhered Tim Holtz tissue papers unto canvas. Drew the girl with a pencil and colored with Faber Castell Gelatoes then outlined with black pen.

Inked the Prima resistable canvas flowers and butterflies with distress inks. Done the same with Memory Maze chipboard flowers. Left the Imaginarium Designs chipboard title raw.

I used these recyled materials from my stash: "bricks" from Prima packaging, denim from my boy's old jeans, some resin flowers that I recycled from an old handphone casing, the button and string closure from a spoiled paper folder, clockface from an old watch and chipboard hearts from chipboard negatives.

Off The Page Projects

Hi, everyone. Today I want to share 2 off the page projects that I made for Imaginarium Designs.

"Halloween"

"Halloween" Miniature Scene

I'm not a Halloween person even though I'm born on Halloween. LOL.. We don't celebrate it either. And gory type of Halloween creeps me, this timid lady.. So I made a cute version of a Halloween miniature scene with a box I found at Daiso.

"Halloween" Miniature Scene

"Fairytale Ending"

"Fairytale Ending" Mixed Media Canvas

Love fairy themed projects. So yet again I made a fairy "house" mixed media canvas. Loved Imaginarium Designs chipboards. The window chipboards gives me so much inspiration for miniature projects.

For more details and pictures of both my projects, do hop over to Imaginarium Designs. And please do leave some comments. If you would to purchase some chipboards, do hop over to Seriously Scrapbooking. Thanks.

Hi, everyone. Today I want to share with you one canvas I made for Imaginarium Designs. This month's theme is Words & Phrases.

"Wish You Were Here" Canvas

"Wish You Were Here" Canvas

"Wish You Were Here" Canvas

I used 3 phrases chipboards for this canvas. Painted the chipboards with acrylic paints using a small round paint brush. Painted the background with pastel blue acrylic paint and added a mixture of brown acrylic paint and sand texture paste for sand effect. Then apply texture paste over shells stencil. For this canvas, I used Simple Stories collection.

Love the phrases chipboards from Imaginarium Designs. They form the main focus of this canvas. Love how they stand out after being painted in different colors. You can buy these chipboards from Seriously Scrapbooking.
