Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday Challenge - Hexagons

Hi, everyone!! Hope you all had fun this week. me still busy doing projects for my DT. ya.. very slow progress!!!

Today I want to share with you this week Fabulous Friday Challenge at Frosted Designs. This week's theme is Hexagons!! You can create anything that has hexagons on it, be it hexagon shape, mask etc..

Here's my take:
"Hello Sunshine" mixed media canvas

Here I used chicken wire template and gesso to create the hexagons. Also highlighted afew hexagons with glimmer glaze. You can also find some recycled mini circles punch negatives. All papers are from My Little Shoebox.

Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday - Banners

Hi, everyone. Its Friday again.Today at Frosted Designs, we are challenging you to make a card, tag, layout, mixed media, altered arts, album etc with a banner on it. We encourage you to use up supplies you own or in your house. So hop on over to Frosted Designs and join in this week's Fabulous Friday challenge.

Here's my take for the challenge:

"His Banners Over Us Is Love" layout:

When I saw the theme "Banners", I immediately thought of this bible verse from Songs 2:4. And I think it sort of tie in today's date: Good Friday. Hmm...its really a coincidence... ha ha.. as I never realise it until now when I do the blog post.

For this layout, I masked the background with self-made clouds "stencils", made out of chipboard. Then I made several banners, namely
1) Hambly Screenprint banners
2) Patterned paper banners
3) Manila tags banners
4) Washi tape banners
5) Stamped banners

I also used baker's twine, jute twine to "hang" the banners. If you are wondering where you can get all these supplies (bakers twine, jute twines, washi tape, manila tags) at one stop, you can visit our sponsor for this week, Kawaii Goodies and grab these items and more for your projects.

An Exciting News!!!! And a blog candy.

Hi, everyone. Thank you for following my blog all this while. I got an exciting news to share!! Been keeping it in wraps and now its time to announce!!!

I'm IN the design team for My Little Shoebox!!!! Arghhh... I couldn't believe my eyes when I opened the acceptance email from MLS. And the most natural response is I actually Screamed!!!! My poor hubby and kids are so shocked!!! And my gal ran over and asked me," Mummy, what happened??". Ha ha..They must  have thought a cockroach was in front of me. Ha ha..

I'm so thankful to God!!!! Another wonderful gift from God that I feel I don't deserve. God is good!!! And to thank God and My Little Shoebox, I made this mixed media canvas the very same day I received this wonderful news.
