And this week over at Off The Rail Scrapbooking, our challenge this round is about Paints, Sprays & Ink to change or enhance the color and texture of your projects. And here's my take on the challenge.
"Getting Ready For Bed"
I made this layout for a church friend's daughter. She participated in a ballet concert as my girl. I wanted a vintage orange theme for this layout to match the orange lighting in the photo.
I used distress inks to alter the papers, flowers and clay embellishments.
I misted the white lace with coral mists. Used Graphic45 "window" paper to depict the window used in the dance item.
I loved Graphic45 papers. This December calender cut out is the perfect one to document this event. I used orange Sharpie marker to write on it.
As I do not have smaller orange colored thickers, I diecut my own using orange cardstocks and layered them (3 layers). I applied glitter glue on the word "Ready".
This ballet shoes cutout is from Graphic45 Nutcracker collection. Its so matching to the event I'm documenting. I distressed it abit to make it look more vintage.
Love this layout. Going to give it to my friend. Hope she will like it. Well, for the next 15 days I be quite busy again with visitations. Right now, I'm busy with making Chinese New Year gift boxes for my close "owls" friends. Hope I can share this in the next few weeks.
In the meantime, do hop over to join us in this challenge. Its fun and you stand a chance to win some goodies from our sponsor, Graphic45!!!! Woo...... So hop over here now.
Thanks for dropping by. See you soon. And blessed Chinese New Year to all!!
