This week had been a busy one. Submitted 2 layouts and 1 card (current post) for overseas challenges. Very fun. Learnt a lot this week. Thanks to all the challenges' sketch. It really stretch my creativity.
Made this card using the sketch from Lily Pad Cards. Embossed the strip of cupcakes (Hero Arts stamps) with purple embossing powder. Used Penny Black stamp for the mice and colored with distress inks. The sentiment, "It's time to Celebrate" is from Hero Arts stamp. Layered the prima flowers and crumbled them abit to give it dimension.

"Stickers"
Made this layout last night using the sketch from My Creative Sketches challenge. Had a very fun time doing this layout as my girl is simply too adorable. This brings back fond memories as she's already 6 years old now. ha ha..
Just look at my girl... She really was bent on using up all the stickers from the book. See how she "decorate" herself. Such innocence!!

"Sweet Dreams"
Made this layout last Saturday morning using the sketch from "Once Upon A Sketch" challenge and the color palette from "Craft Your Days Away" Challenge. Very excited as its my first "overseas" challenge. Done only a few challenges for my local store. So my experience is limited. But wanted to challenge myself and at the same time, wanted to push myself to complete my son's album. Me procrastinate too long. My poor boy!!
Used Tattered Angels and Prima stencils to create the background. Chosen the palette of pink and blue and brown as my girl loves pink and my boy blue and brown. Loves how dreamy look this turns out.

Pianos.....
Going to Cristofori showroom today to view the pianos, both new and 2nd hand. Not sure how to chose a piano but for my girl's sake, got to learn... got tight budget as well. God, please help us to chose the right piano at the right price. Oh ya, and also a piano that me won't be allergic to.. u see, me allergic to wood lacquer. My nose will experience a burning sensation whenever I smell wood lacquer and even leather varnish. Its such a painful and uncomfortable ordeal.

My favourite resting place
Been pretty stressed up these few weeks... longing to go to my favourite resting place... Sembawang Park.. Seeing the beautiful trees while lying on the picnic mat is simply heavenly... Its like looking into God's face and His beautiful creations tells of His love.
These 2 big branches are actually from 2 different trees. Notice how they get entangled together and wound around each other. Reminds me of how God united man and woman in marriage.

Goofy faces & pieces of me!!
Made these 2 layouts a few months back for my son, Dominic. He's a cute, adorable, charming boy... ha ha... thick-skinned, right. Well, he's all that to me. These pictures were taken a few years back too.. he's turning 4 years old this month....time really flies....
"12 Goofy Faces" : A little paint here, a little scraps there and viola, a layout is done...
A simple, sweet design for "Pieces of You"... well, just like you....

Vintage bookmarks
Experimenting with vintage styles recently. Scrap lift this bookmark design from somewhere. Love how it turns out with different papers. Made the tassels from scratch. Will make more of this to use as my bookmarks. hmm... maybe I can make them into gift tags as well... nice idea... ohh... I really love this style... vintagey romance...(hmm... is there such a word??)
7th Wedding Anniversary "Birdcage"
11 Sep is my 7th wedding anniversary. Yap.. its 911. A coincidence indeed!! Thanks to my cute hubby who booked the date without recollecting what 911 is about. Anyway, that's 7 years ago.. ha ha.. Altered this birdcage with my favourite colors, light pink and blue and favourite embellishments. Love birdcage, butterflies, lace, flowers, spool. Wired the pink and blue flowers onto the bottom of birdcage instead of gluing them down. More secured this way. Initially, I wanted to make a mini butterfly album. Due to lack of time (do this last minute), have to make do with just one chipboard butterfly.
