Hello!!! Today I want to share my art journal with you. I made this for the "Your Living Canvas" workshop conducted by Christy Tomlinson.
Found a second hand story book at a 2nd hand books store. Love that the butterflies and title "Journey" seems to be in line with the Week One class of "Your Living Canvas" workshop.
After adding lots of mediums (gesso, multi medium, decoupage, acrylic paints, light modelling paste, rub-ons, Faber Castell Pitt artist pens and so on), here's the final result!!! Love my art journal!! And love the blue butterfly!!! Really, theres no hard and fast rule to mixed media!!
I'm so looking forward to creating the rest of the pages!!! Its really very relaxing to get inky, painty!!! Well, for some, it might seem like mixed media is abit "dark" (well, some works are!! :P), but its really like an art therapy for alot of people, including me!! Life's stresses and trials can be very hard on alot of us. But whenever I get paints on my hands, its like all the troubles and stresses had melted away!! Probably because I love ART!! I get so immersed in painting that I forgot all about the rest!! Its fun and a cure to all my stresses!!! Thank God for being creative and passing down the creative genes to us. I believe everyone is born an Artist. You just need to draw them out!! :-)
Well, have fun painting!!

"Vintage Camera" Album
Dear all, how's your day?? Me tired!!!! Spent the whole Sunday guiding my brother in his design assignments!!!! Phew!! Managed to help him with 2 projects. A few more to go!!!! Tired!!!! ha ha...
Today I want to share with you a mini album that I made for a charity drive for helping abused animals. Learnt how to make this "vintage camera" through a ""RAK-a-crop" session organised by my local scrapbook group. Love this "camera".
Used quite abit of washi/masking tapes on the camera. But super love the effect. Used Melissa Frances paper for the camera. Also used London Market paper collection for album.
Side view: love pop up effect of the camera.
Inside of album: How lovely are the London Market papers!!!
Anyone loves this idea of vintage camera?? Try doing one!! And try different versions!! Its fun!!! Have a great week. Thanks for visiting my blog.

Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday Challenge - Quilting
Hello.... Once again its Friday!! Today at Frosted Designs, we love to see you use Quilting on your projects, cards, layouts, mix media art, home decor art and so on..
This is quite a tough one for me since I don't do sewing and I know nothing about quilting!!! Ha ha.. What a challenge!!! But I love the result even though its just a simple card. I made this for my husband who is celebrating his 45 years old birthday today!!! That's right, its TODAY!!! :P
As you can see from the sentiments, its all about him!! Really very thankful to him as well. He is a good husband & father. Love him!!! Happy Birthday, Dearie!!!
"Relax! It's Your Day!" card -
I drew on the stitches since I didn't know how to sew. The sticker (man on the sofa) is from October Afternoon. Below you can see that I pop up 4 squares for the sentiment. I also adhere buttons and ric rac stickers.
Inside of the card:
Well, so hurry over to Frosted Designs now and join in the fun. This week's sponsor is Vntage Street Market.

"Sweet Memories, Happy Together" Canvas
Hi, everyone!! Here I am again!! Today I want to share my first DT assignment with My Little Shoebox. Loved their papers. So bright and cute!!
For this canvas, I used "Aiko" collection. Loved the Japanese dolls and sakura flowers and the clouds. When I got this collection, I was awestruck by one of the dolls (carrying the umbrella). It resembles my girl (you can see in the picture how similar they look) and they are both so so cute!!! In this picture, you could see that both my kids are on their "bicycles". Love that my girl was quite protective of her brother as she held onto the handle bar of her brother's bicycle. My son was less than 1 year old at that time and still don't know how to sit very well. He was basically placed there just to capture this picture. :P
Here's what I did: I used multi-medium to adhere all papers unto the canvas. I painted the sides of the canvas and the edges of each papers. Then I apply rub-ons and adhere the photo.
I love my canvas to be more dimensional so I added 3 smaller canvases(covered with papers). Punched and layered the grasses and adhere flowers stickers in between. Then I added the Prima bicycle metal charm. Lastly I adhere the titles with foam dots.
Here are some close-up views.
Well, I hope you are inspired to do up a canvas using My Little Shoebox papers. Have a nice day and thanks for dropping by.

"Life does not need to be perfect to be wonderful" Journal
Hi, so sorry that me been a little inactive lately. Guess the lazy bug caught me. ha ha..
Today I want to share a simple mixed media journal page that I made. Love mixed media!!!! Going crazy over it. :P
I used Prima paper as background and painted over with gesso, Faber Castell Big Brush Pens, acrylic paints. Also adhere rub-ons, doodle the girl. Stamped a bit at background with Unity Stamp (cannot remember the name of the stamp).
Loved the stamped phrase. Indeed life does not need to perfect to be wonderful. Embrace imperfections for they are the ones that make you stronger and more beautiful.
Have a wonderful week. Thanks for dropping by. And do leave comment under my "2nd Blog Candy" post.

Well, enough about me. I'm sure everyone want to know who's the winner for my ATC challenge at Frosted Designs. Its Christi Hicks!!! Congrats!! Please email me your address at ctlove2scrap@gmail.com.
