Liebster Blog Award

Hi, everyone. Just want to share again about the Liebster Blog Award. Am so honoured to be nominated not once, not twice but thrice for this award. A Super Big Thank You to Ellen Tay and Michelle Looi for this nomination.

Liebster is a German word meaning favourite or dearest and the award is given to up and coming  bloggers with fewer than 200 followers. Upon receiving this award, here's what I must do:

  • Choose 5 up and coming blogs of fewer than 200 followers to award the Liebster to.
  • Show your thanks to the blogger who gave you the award by linking back to them.
  • Post the award on your blog. Link back to the blogs you have given the Liebster to so everyone else can pay them a visit.
Since I've been awarded the second and third time, I shall choose 10 blogs:

Valentine's Day gift

I have to confess that I love celebrating Valentine's Day, even though I don't think I'm a romantic person. Ha ha.. contradicting, isn't it. Well, every year, I would plan way ahead of what to make for my dearest hubby. Like what I always say to him, every time I finished a gift for him, I will start to plan for next year's gift. BUT this year, I totally forgot to plan. Ha ha..

So on Valentine's Day morning, I started to panic!!! Oh no!!! ha ha..

It took me whole day (including half day of chatting with my sister on the phone) to finish this gift. Just as I was about to "hide" the gift in my scrapbook cabinet, my hubby returned home from work at 6pm. What perfect timing!!

Here's the last minute gift that me made for him:

I made the 2 white inserts when my hubby called home at 5pm. Can you imagine how panicked I am when received his call that he's coming back!! He knocked off very early yesterday!! Only got an hour to complete!!!

Love this box made using Front and Center #1 die from Papertrey Ink. The metal accents are all made by me. Its good that all these accents are already made some time ago. So I just grabbed a few and glued down on my project.

Here's a closer look:

Here's the back of the box:

And here's the overview again with the inserts:

Love the colours of white, teal and pink. These are my favourite colour combo. I find that I used this combo quite often. The pocket with insert(in middle) are actually digital collage. I just added the tab and metal flower.

Here's the detailed look:

The silver metal accent (with ribbon flowers) are made by me previously too. Phew!! Finally all are done and given to him. He loved it!! Ha ha.. Dun think he dare to say otherwise!!! ha ha.....

Hope you all enjoy this project as much as me. Thank you for visiting.

"Patterned papers" challenge card 2

For my second card for Lilypad's Simon Says Stamp presents a patterned paper challenge, I have weave the strips of papers to form the background. Again, all papers are from My Little Shoebox.

  •  "Sweet Love Blossoms" card

Hope you enjoy my creation. Thank you for visiting.

"Patterned papers" challenge

Today I submitted 2 cards for Lilypad's Simon Says Stamp presents a patterned paper challenge. The challenge is to make cards with patterned papers. For my cards, I used papers from My Little Shoebox. Simply love their adorable paper lines. Even the sentiments are from their papers.

This is the first card:

 "Grown With Love" card

For my 2nd card, please view the next post. Thank you for visiting my blog.

"Fairest of them all" drawing pad

Recently I bought some adorable stickers from local facebook group, Scrapbook Market. Made a drawing pad for my girl who loves to draw. Used acid-free plain paper so that I can keep this album till she's grown up. Loved the stickers so much!!

I cut out the clouds and flowers and punch the grasses with My Little Shoebox papers. Love my girl so much.

"Tea" Canvas

Hi, the past weeks have been a bit chaotic and distracted. Ever since I joined a local scrapbooking group, Scrapbook Market on facebook, I have been monitoring the posts from this group like a stock market. The reason being that this group started out as a place for sharing tips on scrapbooking and de-stashing the products that we scrappers love to horde but never use finish. The de-stashing part is the "fun" and addictive part. I have spent a lot in grabbing the offers and bargain buys from this group. Love that we can also share our passions together. And love that out of this group, a ATC swap group had been created. Have already done and submitted 2 batch of ATCs for Jan and Feb 2012. Look forward to our ATC group dinner where the members come together to exchange ATCs and get to know one another.

Today I will share a altered canvas that was made using materials and supplies from Scrapbook Market: the papers, the stencil template, stamps, dew drops. Love all these colours. The photo was taken during my recent trip to Cameron Highlands. Cameron Highlands was known as a tea mountain in Malaysia and what better way to immerge (not sure this is the correct description, ha ha) in this tea culture than to drink tea at its tea plantation.
