"Handsome Little Man" layout

Thank God its Saturday today!!! A time to relax and spend time with family. Just brought our kids to swimming!! Had a fun time seeing them play around in the cooling waters. Singapore is so hot at this period of the year!!!!

Yesterday, I did mention that I will be sharing some projects this few days. Had been doing a few layouts the past week. And today I just want to share one that I did for my son during our Cameron Highlands trip last year!!

And I entered this masculine layout for a recipe challenge organised by a local scrapbook group at facebook. The recipe challenge requires the following 7 must-have-elements in our submission project:
1) White base pattern paper/cardstock
2) Banners
3) Flowers
4) Dollies
5) Washi tapes
6) Decorative punching of paper edge
7) Tag

"Handsome Little Man"

I used Pink Paislee Mistable paper as the base, sprayed some glimmer mists to bring out the resist patterns. Then I mixed fiber paste with glass bead gel and spread across the Crafter's Workshop clocks stencil to create the few clocks in the background. I love mixing the different mediums to my project!! I used 3 washi tapes for the borders below the photo and on top of page and on the tags. The flowers are Prima resist canvas inked with distress inks. The circular title is cut from Silhouette Cameo, my latest acquisition.

And the close-ups: here you can see the fiber paste/glass bead gel mixture more clearly. I love the texture and dimensional effect it gave.

The hexagon banners are cut out from My Mind's Eye papers and inked with distress inks. I put eyelets to thread through and tied the banners to. The wooden car is by Studio Calico (to show that we drove to Cameron Highlands).

I love this photo of my adorable son. Thanks to my talented brother who took this shot. My son is actually enjoying his chocolate cake at the Cameron Highlands Tea Plantation cafe. I love this place!!! So beautiful with the green tea mountains and the mist!!! And of course, fresher air!!

I hope you like this layout!! And do try out the fiber paste and glass bead gel mixture on your projects!! I used Golden brand mediums. I hope to share more projects with you all again in the coming week!! Do stay tune!! And thanks for visiting!!
